With Colour Mill's oil-based food colorings, you can achieve flawless, vibrant, and wonderfully rich colors for your cakes. Colour Mill oil blends allow the color to spread throughout every part of a high-fat medium, including sugar, eggs, and butter. This is because all water-based materials have been removed and replaced with baking- and cake-friendly oils; these oils mix much better than water-based gels (which we know repel water from the oils in your baked goods).

Unlike traditional gel colors, Colour Mill Oil Blend loves the fats and oils in your baked goods and uses them to distribute its special color formula. The result is stunningly vibrant, rich, and even color that won't fade. It's especially good for buttercream, Swiss meringue, chocolate, cake batter, ganache, and sugar paste. It also works in flower pastes, gumpastes, modeling pastes, royal icing, marzipan, cake mixes, pastries, frosting, isomalt, piping gel, cake lace mixes, and more.

Your cakes will not only look stunning, but with Colour Mill you also get more color for your money. The high concentration means you use far less than you normally would to achieve even brighter and more vibrant results. You only need a tiny drop each time to achieve your desired shade – we recommend using the end of a cocktail stick.

Using more drops will make the color more intense; using fewer will create softer shades. Gradually add the color while mixing your dough to achieve the desired shade.

There are over 50 different colors to choose from, with each bottle containing 20 ml.

The bottle is equipped with a dosing cap, which increases dispensing accuracy. Please note that the pigments used in each color vary in weight. Some weigh more than others, but all colors are the same strength and filled to the brim. Colour Mill can be thinned with alcohol to create an edible color. Please be aware that the colors may take longer to dry due to the oil content.
